What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text records a website asks a browser to retain. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps a value for a site but does not automatically send it with every web request. This site currently uses local storage for the consent choice described below.
Storage used on this site
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
byte-orbitpoint-cookie-consent | Remembers “accepted” or “rejected” so the banner does not appear on every page | Until you clear site data | Byte Orbitpoint |
No analytics cookie is currently set. If privacy-respecting analytics are added later, they will remain disabled until an affirmative choice and this table will be updated before deployment.
Essential and optional categories
Essential storage supports a request you make or a necessary security function. The preference record is treated as essential because it records and respects your instruction. Optional analytics would help us understand aggregate page use but are not required for contact forms, articles or navigation.
Rejecting optional storage does not block any site function. Accept and reject are presented with equal access in the banner.
Managing or disabling storage
You can clear data for byte-orbitpoint.digital in browser privacy settings. Doing so removes the saved preference and causes the banner to return. Browser settings can block all cookies or local storage, although the site may be unable to remember your choice; core pages and the enquiry form should still work.
Third-party resources
Public images and web fonts may be requested from their respective hosts, which receive technical request information such as IP address and browser headers. We do not permit those resources to set marketing cookies through our page. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy and cookie practices.
Impact of disabling
With storage disabled, you can read every page and submit the contact form. The cookie banner may reappear because the browser cannot preserve your selection. No recognition consultation feature is withheld.
For broader information about personal data, retention, transfers and rights, read the privacy notice. Questions can be sent to info@byte-orbitpoint.digital.
