Data controller

Byte Orbitpoint is the controller for personal data handled through this website and our consultancy. Contact: info@byte-orbitpoint.digital; Level 10, 51 Opernplatz, Frankfurt am Main 60313.

Information we process

Enquiries may contain your name, email, telephone number, profession, qualification country, intended German destination and message. During an engagement, we may process CVs, diplomas, transcripts, employment evidence, invoices, meeting notes and correspondence. We discourage sending passport numbers, health records or unrelated sensitive material.

We process enquiries to take steps at your request before a contract and deliver services under a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We retain accounting records to meet legal duties (Article 6(1)(c)). Limited records may be kept to protect legal claims and maintain secure operations based on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Optional analytics, if introduced, will rely on consent (Article 6(1)(a)).

Recipients and transfers

Authorised personnel and contracted hosting, email, secure storage or accounting providers may process data under appropriate terms. We do not sell personal data. We share documents with translators, lawyers or authorities only on your instruction or where legally required.

We prefer providers in the European Economic Area. If a provider processes data in a country without an EU adequacy decision, we use an appropriate safeguard such as EU standard contractual clauses and assess supplementary measures where required.

Retention

Unconverted enquiries are normally deleted after twelve months. Client working files are normally retained for three years after the engagement to answer follow-up and legal questions, unless a shorter period is agreed or a claim requires longer. Invoices and tax records are retained for statutory German periods. Consent records remain for as long as needed to demonstrate the choice.

Your rights

Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent for future processing. Contact info@byte-orbitpoint.digital. You may also complain to a competent German data protection supervisory authority.

Website storage and security

The cookie banner stores your preference locally in your browser. Essential server logs may record IP address, request time, page and user agent for security and fault diagnosis, then be rotated on a limited schedule. See our cookie notice.

We use access controls and proportionate technical safeguards, but no internet transmission is risk-free. If a personal data breach creates a legal notification duty, we will notify the authority and affected people as required.

Automated decisions

We do not use submitted information for automated decisions or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
