Who this is for
This consultation is designed for people who qualified outside Germany and need to establish what recognition means for a specific professional goal. It is particularly useful before commissioning certified translations, accepting a job offer with conditions, or submitting an application to an authority.
We work with the occupation you intend to practise—not merely the wording printed on your diploma. A qualification in civil engineering, for example, can lead to different questions depending on the role, protected professional title and federal state.
The result
You receive a concise written route note after the meeting. It records the likely German reference occupation, whether that occupation is regulated, the authority or chamber that appears responsible, the expected evidence categories and unresolved questions that should be confirmed before filing.
The note is an advisory roadmap, not an equivalence decision. Only the competent German authority can issue formal recognition, and immigration permission remains a separate legal process.

What is outside the scope
We do not issue certified translations, authenticate documents, represent ourselves as the competent authority or promise a positive recognition decision. Legal representation, visa applications, formal appeals and detailed curriculum comparisons require suitably authorised specialists and are quoted separately only through a referral.
How the consultation works
1. A short intake
After booking, send your qualification country, diploma title, intended occupation and preferred German location. You may redact passport numbers, student numbers and unrelated personal information.
2. Preparation
Your adviser examines public authority guidance and flags ambiguities. If your destination is undecided, we compare only the recognition implications that materially differ; we do not recommend a city based on lifestyle or employment prospects.
3. The meeting
During 75 minutes, we test the route against your documents and priorities. The meeting is practical and question-led. You can bring an interpreter at your own cost if English is not comfortable.
4. The route note
Within three business days, you receive the written sequence and source links. Most clients can then approach the authority or prepare their evidence without an additional session.
Timing and constraints
The consultation can usually take place within seven to ten business days. Recognition processing itself may take several months and is controlled by the authority. Incomplete evidence, overseas verification, compensatory measures and changing destination states can extend that timeline.
Prepare before booking
Have the exact diploma title, graduation date, institution, qualification country, current CV, intended German job title and likely federal state available. Do not purchase new translations solely for this meeting; readable scans in the original language are sufficient for route planning.
